NORWALK, Calif. – Vote counters in Los Angeles County received a bomb threat Saturday, one day after similar threats were directed at their counterparts in San Diego and Orange counties.

The Norwalk headquarters of the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk received a bomb threat on Saturday, according to a statement from the agency.

Authorities said that an investigation conducted at the office and Ballot Processing Center revealed no credible threats.

“We take all such threats seriously and are working closely with the FBI, state authorities and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to ensure the safety of our staff and community and maintain uninterrupted operations,” said Dean Logan of the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s office.

As ballots continue to be counted, closely watched races continue to flip, including one in Orange County and another in Los Angeles County — the 45th and 27th Congressional Districts, respectively, according to the Saturday update. More than half a million ballots remain to be processed in L.A. County.

The next update is expected on Sunday.

Earlier, the San Diego County Registrar of Voters received a bomb threat at its office in Kearny Mesa.

The threat was received early Friday evening but was determined to be “not credible” and no injuries were reported, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.

`The Sheriff’s Office will continue working with law enforcement partners to monitor intelligence and information related to any possible threats, and they are prepared to handle any safety challenges that may arise,” according to a statement from the county.

County officials said the Registrar’s Office will continue to process remaining ballots to certify election results by Dec. 5.
